Welcome to the online home of Ted and Maria Jump. This is our little corner of the web where we will share with you bits of our personal life and bytes of our professional aspirations. Danskin Women's Triathlon
June 7, 2008 ... It was early when the alarm went off ... 3:50am to be exact. As early as it was it really didn't matter to me, I had been awake for the last hour, with my mind going over and over the coming days events. With the sound of music filling the room, I rolled over to my chief supporter and laid down on his shoulder and said ... "g'morning". This is how the day started. It was the start of an exciting and exhausting day that would change me forever!

Trip to Seattle
May 28-30, 2008 ... Got a chance to go up to Seattle to interview with Microsoft's Parallel Computing Group. While I didn't generate a job offer, I definitely had a great time. I got to visit with my good friend Kevin and got to explore Seattle some more. This time I made it to Groundspeak and did my very first Wherigo cartridge. It was a blast!

Guts n Glory
May 25, 2008 ... Ted ROCKS! We went out to comfort to participate in the grassroots Guts n Glory race. Since it was our anniversary weekend we decided to make a whole weekend of it. Good thing too because I really needed a day away. We did some mountain biking and geocaching before going into Fredricksburg for a nice dinner. It was a wonderful anniversary. Then was race day. Ted amazed even himself by doing the first lap in 2:10! And then he settled into a pace which would land him 5th place overall. It was AWESOME!

Muddy Buddy
May 18, 2008 ... The search for fitness continues with more craziness as Maria and Audra participated in the Muddy Buddy. The Muddy Buddy is a fun adventure race where teams of two participate in a 7 mile race course. The course is broken into intervals by obstacles which must be completed by both participants. In between the obstacles, one participant mountain bikes while the other one runs. It idea is that you will frog-leap your partner on the course but you know that is not how it happened. It was TONS of fun anyway!
